Michael Gambon : Michael Gambon, who played Dumbledore in the 'Harry Potter' films, died at the age of 82.

  Michael Gambon Sir Michael John Gambon CBE was an Irish-English actor who died on September 28, 2023. Gambon began his acting career as a member of the Royal National Theatre with Laurence Olivier. He received three Olivier Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and four BAFTA Awards during his six-decade career. Queen Elizabeth II knighted him in 1998 for his contributions to drama. Gambon appeared in numerous productions of William Shakespeare's works, including Othello, Hamlet, Macbeth, and Coriolanus. Gambon received thirteen Olivier Award nominations, winning three for A Chorus of Disapproval (1985), A View from the Bridge (1987), and Man of the Moment (1990). Gambon made his Broadway debut in David Hare's Skylight in 1997, earning a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor in a Play. Gambon made his film debut in 1965 with Othello.
